Team for Blackburn

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Team for Blackburn

Postby Fidel Castro » Thu Sep 09, 2010 2:06 pm

Thoughts? Balotelli out injured, Tevez doubtful so just a place on the bench for him me thinks. Also gives Ade the chance to show us what we've supposedly been missing and we can play with a proper out-and-out striker.

---------------Hart---------------

Micah----Kolo--Kompo--Lescott

Milner-----Yaya----Barry-----AJ

-----------------Silva--------------
---------------Adebayor-----------

Given the nature of Blackburn's football, where they bypass the midfield, de Jong's presence would be utterly pointless so I hope Mancini leaves him out for this one.

I'd go with the exact line-up you have fids. Hope he does too.

I'll go with that line-up too, unless Tevez is fit. In which case play him instead of Silva. Tevez can always rest against Salzburg.

Hart
Richards
Kolo
Kompany
Lescott

De Jong
Barry
YaYa

Milner
Tevez
A. Johnson

subs- Given, Boetang, Cunningham, SWP, Silva, Adebayor, Nimeley

Assuming the team above are fit, I just cant see him changing anything. Blackburn are a big physical side, not the type of match for Siva just yet although he is gonna have to get used to it sometime.

really surprised people are already putting silva on the bench for their teams. he is gonna have to get used to playing against teams full of cloggers, there are enough of them in the prem. id get him involved straight away.

blackburn are shit, id go for the jugular

Hart

Boateng (if fit)/ Micah
Toure
Kompany
Lescott

Milner
Barry
Yaya

Silva
Johnson

Hart

Richards Kolo Kompany Lescott
De Jong
Yaya Milner
Johnson Silva
Tevez

If Tevez isn't fit then play Adebayor. Barry could come on for de jong if 0-0 at half time.

I really like that team. Would throw Ade in there ahead of Tevez following the internationals (injured as well?)

Richards has/had a virus. Supposed to be better now but I'd bench him anyway, Zabaleta is good enough.

Hart
Zababeta, Toure, Kompany, Lescott
Barry, Yaya, de Jong
Milner, Adebayor, Silva

Johnson to get a run from the bench, Tevez too if fit.

I'd sub;
Boateng on for Zaba (Give him 20 mins to get back to fitness)
Tevez on for Silva (as both have been busy boys in the week and Adebayor should be fresh)

I really want to see Silva start tomorrow. I've heard a lot of good things about him and he could be the playmaker that we've been craving for years.

Not sure about Paddy V and swp.Vieira might get a look in as he had no international involvement, although i would much prefer Barry and Milner in for them.
Think you could be spot on with Jo with Tevez and Adebayor looking doubtful.
