Portugal also played at home. They put four behind the Cypriot keeper, according to plan. But they also conceded four.

Thus, once again, let's all join in a big HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!

I think the French have gone about the whole debarcle all wrong. The new manager wants a new start, a clean plate, and to get his best players playing well.

Banning their best players and omitting the WC squad is just asking for trouble.

To be honest they had no option otherwise it sends out a message that you can fuck about at a major tournament and get away with it.

That's true mate but let's face it, they're cutting off their nez to spite their face.

If they continue to leave out their best players for the qualifiers there's a very real chance they won't make it to the finals. Do you get there and take a risk on your players behaving or run an even greater risk of not getting there at all?

Imo Domenech lost the team a long while ago and should've been dispensed of, the FFA are still paying for keeping him on. Not defending what the players did though.

Even though they have banned their better players they should be able to get a result against Belerus at home though. They have cut off their noses to spite their face but they had no option, just a shame for them that there are only 10 or so games in their season compared to a 38 games club season where'd they'd get away with it.

Anyway they're french, i'm happy they are struggling ;-)

Lescott starts for England alongside Jagielka! I hope he has a good match.

Just noticed that Portugal are losing 1-0 in Norway as well, they've not had a brilliant summer.
