Kompany/Toure partnership

We may have conceeded our first goal today but these two seem to be forming a very solid partnership.
Really happy with what i have seen from them so far and hope it continues.

Yeah Kompany has always been class though. Toure seems to be the improved one who benefits most from the pairing.

With that said, no matter how hard I try, I just can't get excited over defending lol.

Cant agree more lads, Toure has come on leaps and bounds from last year. I personally think Kompany is one of the best centre half's in the league. So disappointing to watch us lose the game like we did today but if these two can continue this form all year then we will have a great base to work from

You want to word it that we still haven't conceded a goal from open play, because that makes us look mint still.

Toure and Dunne looked brilliant together at the start of last season. I hope Toure continues his current form and doesn't slip into old bad habits.

An excellent combo. Really good at sensing the danger, big, strong and always composed. I've said it before, Kompany should me made captain and today only served to emphasise this.

Vince is here for the long haul and has the class to stay in the team every week. PLUS Tevez is obviously suffering from being loaded with the extra responsibility as captain (a la Robbie Keane for Ireland and Spuds in the past). Captain should be further back in the pitch, Tevez is involving himself in all the wrong places and it's effecting his potentcy up front.

I thought they were fine, in a difficult swirling wind, in fact the whole defence was fine until Lescott went off.

They complement each other, and thats the key to a successfull central defensive partnership.
