Mancini spent about a month there?!?!?!? Must've been love at first sight.

Apparently it was. I've heard Savage talk about Mancini quite a few times even before he was at City and have heard him on the radio mentioning having dinner or talking to him on the phone. Last time I heard him he said he mentioned 10 players we wanted and by that point we already had 6 that were on that list.

Savage is good mates with both it seems and has always maintained there isnt a problem between Bellamy and Mancini.

He is going on loan to Cardiff - this is virtually official -
I think its a crying shame - we could have used bellers on Saturday and we'll miss his goals this season, mark 'em

Just to clear it up, Robbie Savage is good friends with both Roberto Mancini and Craig Bellamy.

ARE THEY PAYING HIS FUCKING WAGES FOR THE SEASON THEN?

Cardiff, a team who have a transfer embargo, loaning in a playing on £90,000 a week????

This is a total fuck up.

This is why we need fucking managerial stability, each time a new man comes in we have to ship off the players who the boss doesnt fancy.

Considering the very polite tone on the Cradiff site where they can't thank Man.City enough over this loan I pressume very much that we are paying and they are using the player. Not that smart buisness but I guess selling him to twicher could eventually cost more.

Id rather Bellers be paid by us to play for Cardiff than play in the prem and hurt us in the league.

a 6mnth loan could outlast the manager the way the press are going on!

gutted to lose him but at least he didn't go to spurs

Seems that few of our players are being sold outright and are going out on loan instead this transfer window.

  • Is it because we cannot get other clubs to stump up the transfer fees?
  • Can the other clubs not afford the wages and the player does not want a paycut so we pay them to play elsewhere?
  • Is Khaldoon being business-savvy and keeping his assets within our portfolio as a contingency plan just in case the project manager gets his contract cancelled within 12 months?

The devil inside me says is it all of the above.

Good luck Cregg.....gutted in lots of ways that you won't be in sky blue for this season.

I am very very happy he's been happy to go there rather than having him come back to haunt us this year

Whats the point loaning out a 31 year old whos entire game is based on attributes that will decline fast with age? His market value will have halved by the time he comes back.

Wouldn't mind him going to spurs, it'd probably incite one of Keane/Pavel/Crouch to leave before the transfer window and they're probably better players than Bellamy.

Very complimentary about us in his press conference:

Thinks Khaldoon and Cook are two great guys (that will come as a disappointment to those who believe cook was a part of forcing him out)

Respects mancini think's he's a great manager and will do good things at city

Happy he played a part in helping us get to the next level

Well done Craig and well done City. Sounds to me like City are paying his wages and there is a good understanding between both parties. I really though hed take the opportunity to have a pop at Mancini but hes been spot on. Well done!
