Kolo Toure

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Kolo Toure

Postby CityGer » Sat Aug 14, 2010 1:42 pm

I have to say that I've never really fancied him. I've alway felt that he was a yard off it and a bit erratic.

He was absolutely magnificent today.

The best City CB performance I've seen for some time. He was strong, dominant, pacey and looked eager to keep Spurs out throughout the game. He showed a real hunger to defend our goal, it was fantastic to see.

A top performance. Well done Kolo.

I've had Vinny and Lescott down as our best CB partnership and I expected Boby would go down the same route. Perhaps he has seen something in Kolo and knows how to get the best out of him.... He was superb today.

Totally agree. I wonder if he has a new lease of life without the armband? Or maybe because he's playing with his brother?

Fuck knows, but well done Kolo.

Exactly - That seemed to come from nowhere today but he looked a class act.

Well said - he really stepped it up a notch today, hop it continues.

Lescott looked off the pace in pre season - he may get a chance to get match fit on thursday night?

he matched todays performance after he was out for a while, then lescott got injured. he was fucking ace, then went shite again. i hope he keeps this form up as i like kolo and it will certainly settle yaya in quicker, but i still feel kompo / lescott is our best back two.

Top class display. Especially with a fool on his right hand side. And Kompany. Never quite understood this hatred for Kolo that comes out on here, but maybe he's better with his bro in the side?
