Why is it that the Ramires signing for £18m is a real sign of their intent, but Balotelli is just described as a big money transfer? I shouldn't let it wind me up, but it does!

Just ignore them.
Their attitude stems from the fact that the clubs like Chelski, Manyoo are 'Winners' and deserve respect, whereas we are just 'losers' who have come into a few quid. They are probably right, so far all we have done is spend money.
It will always be like this until we start winning trophies. That's the only thing that will turn the critics around. When we turn the few quid into some trophies, they will come around .... just wait and see.
Until then .... you will just have to put up with it.
