Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!
by Rae4685 » Tue Aug 10, 2010 3:11 pm
As were moving onwards and upwards and our signing are on another level to recent years (forever in my case) would be nice to find out what everyones favourite city 11 is. Not looking particularly for the greatest players or the most talented just your personal favourites. Mine is as follows:
Weaver
Edgehill Dunne Morrison Tiatto
Wright-Phillips Benarbia Kinkladze Kennedy
Goater Tevez
Im aware my midfield is unrealistic as theres barely a tackle in there but im not taking playing style into play before everyone points that out. Over and out.

micah------- dunnie--------- hendry-------------jensen
---------kinky-------- ali b------------ beagrie
-------- rosler--------- walsh ------------- tevez
not the best of teams granted, but they have always been personal faves of mine! (now hate coton for obvious reasons).

On Mark Kennedy, couldnt believe what I was reading in recent weeks, how the fuck is he considered to be a defender.
Cardiff City defender Mark Kennedy signs a contract extension to stay at the Championship club until 2011
Ipswich close on Cardiff City defender Mark Kennedy.
Roy Keane reunited with Mark Kennedy as Ipswich boss pays £75k to snap up Cardiff defender

Well done on inspiring me to post. It doesn't happen often, I am a classic lurker. I am finding this quite difficult and really making it up as I go along, but I reckon this 11 reflects the players I loved or wanted to be when I was younger.
Weaver
Edghill Dunne Wiekens Tiatto
SWP Berkovic Kinkladze Horlock
Rosler Goater
Sadly left out were Walsh, Quinn, Beagrie (all played in that amazing 5-2 win against Spurs), Dickov, Benarbia, James and a few others who were close.

Is this limited to anyone born after 1980 judging by those teams?
Edgehill was shocking btw, after early promise.

Can't believe people are opting for the horrid Tony Scrotum, the mune-loving cunt.
My favourite eleven from my lifetime:
--------------------------Weaver
Onuoha---------Curle----------Dunne---------Phelan
SWP-------------Ali B----------Horlock-------Beagrie
-----------------Tevez---------Goater
Toss-up between Curle and Morrison at centre-half (although Curle was the miles better player). Toss-up between Phelan and Jensen at left-back. Tevez edges out Rosler up front. Quinn loses out for the Keane association, Berkovic for generally being a twat (although miles better than Kinkladze and Bernabia in my opinion, and the best quick-thinking, short passer I've ever seen in sky blue).

SWP Ali B Kinkladze Bell P.Barnes
The Goat Rosler
Weaver
Lee
Quinn
Tiatto
Tevez
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

I've sometimes wondered why more teams haven't played 3-4-1-3

I would have to agree with you, it seems the perfect blend of attack and defense!
