I think that's a shit negative line up but I also think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

------------------Given

Boateng---K Toure---Kompany---Kolarov

--------De Jong---Yaya---Barry

-------Tevez-----------------AJ
----------------Adebayor

Bench:
Hart
Lescott
Richards
Milner
Silva
Bellers
Jo

Assuming we get Milner, and that Ireland goes. I don't think Silva should start given his Mexico exploits, give him 30 mins if its not going our way. Similarly Bellers will be tired after Wales game, and Milner hasn't played in a while. If Bellers goes, put SWP in his place. If we get Balotelli, put him in place of Jo.

Hmm, I don't think Bobby has given anything away so far, in a home friendly against a weak Valencia. In fact I think he's gone out of his way to confuse Dodgy 'Arry as well as us.

Like some others I cant see this as the match for a Silva starting debut, and for sure it will be defensive with the ability to break. May mean Tevez lying deeper, or Ade on the bench.

So who is definitely going to play if fit? IMO Touré K (sorry guys), Barry, Touré Y, DeJong, Tevez, Kolarov.

After that who the hell knows?

Given
Micah Boateng Kompany Kolarov
SWP Yaya Silva Beller
Tevez Jo

I never recognized Tevez and Ade played well together. So I'll give the partnership to Tevez and Jo. AJ will come off the bench after SWP run them tired. I hope Robinho can make the team. He will be terrific off the bench replacing Beller.

We will win this game, believe me.

- - - - - - - - -Vieira - - - - - - - -

I would play:

-----------------Hart
Richards Boateng Kompany Kolarov
---------Y.Toure------de Jong
Johnson--------------------------Silva
----------------Tevez
---------------Adebayor

But since we are playing away from home against Spurs, Mancini will probably play:

-----------------Given
Boateng K.Toure Kompany Kolarov
--Y.Toure-de Jong-Vieira-Barry
----------------Tevez
---------------Adebayor
so now as every enemy circles our city

I can't see him playing Tevez or Silva from the start so I reckon he'll go very defensive with 1 up front.

After whats happened this week Bellers to me must play on Saturday.

To accomadate him, switch to the Chelsea away formation. With Bellers, Tevez, and AJ/SWP in attack.

With Yaya and hopefully Milner in midfield, that could be rather potent. And Silva and Ade coming off the bench.

Golden.

Not sure about silva as he's got one hell of a journey now, then it's a lunchtime kick off. If he feels up to it though he could cause them problems as an unknown quantity.

I'd probably pick Micah at right back but only because Boateng hasn't got used to the back 4 yet, DeJong behind Yaya & GB with Silva front of the diamond & Tevez dropping back/doing what he likes. Ade up front.

Edit: that's assuming Bellamy won't be allowed to play, otherwise he'd be 2nd name on the sheet after Tevez.

---------------Hart-----------------

micah -- Boa ---- Komp ------Ak

-------------De jong---------------
-----Toure-----------Barry--------

--------------Silva-----------------

---------Tevez---Ade-------------

Milner to make a sub appearance for barry,

Johnson to come on for silva

And a possible Jo appearance to replace tevez

(silva and tevez both not up to fitness)

The way I see it is not quite a diamond but the mid 3 will definitely be defined by de jong sitting back deeper while yaya and barry alternately get forward/stay back and play deep play maker positions.

We have such an amazing ability to change it all up though, and I love the versatility of our players.

for instance, barry comes off and johnson on for him and suddenyl it can be 4231 with silva wide left, johnson wide right, tevez playing just behind ade, with yaya and dejong sitting deep in mid.
