I know you can be quite abrasive mate but why would some hoteliers want to kidnap you?

Have you never seen the film Hostel?! ;-)

Makes sense now, my mistake!

Ticket prices for locals have been posted on Timisoara's OS

North and South Stand: 25 RON (~5£)
1st and 2nd Gallery: 50 RON (~10£)
Main Stand: 75 RON (~15£)
VIP Stand: 200 RON (~40£)

Don't know anything about ticket prices and availability for the away crowd, maybe our friend from Timisoara could help us out with some information.
Roberto Mancini was the man who brought us our first trophy in 35 years. He was the man that brought us our first league title in 44 years. He brought us one of the greatest moments of our lives. He masterminded a 6-1 win at Old Trafford, and a Wembley win over United. He challenged Ferguson, he argued with him on the touchline, he brought success, and he punched the air in delight with the rest of us at the madness of it all. He had style, panache and a winning smile. All those memories he gave us will never be forgotten, in a wonderful period in this club’s long history.
And I swear, we’ll never see anything like it again.

Has anyone heard if the first/second legs of the Timisoara games are going to be shown on TV?? Who has the tv rights for the Europa League this season?

Good question Elvis - ESPN has the following info:

The Europa League was last season’s surprise package with Fulham’s amazing run and a good showing from Liverpool.
It returns this year to ESPN and with so many British teams in action, you’ll be able to see a big team English or Scottish top flights play live in every round

But there is no sign of it on the schedules, which are mostly incomprehensible.

Yeah, I noticed that Liverpool v Trabzonspor is scheduled to be on Setanta Ireland but no mention of any other games anywhere. Suppose we'll find out in due course.

I believe our old friend Channel 5 also has an oar in this. But they have no info yet either.

There's a strong chance it could be on ITV - I haven't seen them advertise it yet but I know they're showing a match on the Wednesday.

In that case if ITV are showing a game on the Wednesday (18th) it would suggest Channel 5 will be showing a game on the Thursday (19th) - it's what they did last season.

ITV are showing two matches on Thursday the 19th, neither of them is ours (they're showing the Villa game and Liverpool game)

City's squad has been updated on the UEFA website. Silva is in. Jo as well.
