Anyone else thinking it would be a waste of a place having him in it? the guy only has a use for final 15-20 mins in a game max in my eyes we are going to be playing two games a week surely this guy cant be up for this?

I think this has been beat to death a few times, in the early rounds of Europa and the domestic cups he will serve a good purpose.

He's here for the less important matches where we can't risk better players getting injured or fatigued.

Hes here for his mentality hes a proper pro and Mancini has brought him to try and get Vieiras attitude to rub off on the other players in the squad.Thats my take on it, Vieira is has been captain at some really top club sides and France and has won things throughout his career.
I personally think thats what Mancini wants him for not for what he offers on the pitch these days.

i think he was brought in as an emergency and for the mentality thing. However he can do the mentality thing from the sidelines and in training. Total waste of one of the 25 spots now Yaya is on board. If he gets in ahead of Ireland i will be super pissed off and believe it to be the first big mistake of Mancini.

Thing is, he's thrown down the gauntlet to peole like Ireland & Bellamy but if they're better than Vieira, Silva, Milner, Balotelli etc there's no way he'll drop any of those, it'll be someone else who makes way. Iffy way of going about it imo.

will be my first black mark against Mancini. Bottom line is what has PV done more than SWP, Bellemy or even Ireland.
