As long as they do by beating us in the last minute, we will have nothing to crow about and are starting to seem a bit daft constantly going on about how much money we have.
We do not support a financial institution, we support a football club. Trophies are what matter and trophies are what we all want to brag about. We still have to combine our expensive signings into a balanced winning team.
I agree that this would indicate that the clock is indeed 'ticking' but we may still have to wait before we start giving them back half of what they have given us over the years.
I am looking forward to that but we have achieved nothing to brag about yet.

I beg to differ rabbit. Trafford Rangers are well and truly up financial shit creek, and there's not a paddle in sight.
If my memory serves me right they just managed to break even last year and that was with the money they made from the Tranaldo sale!
Now that they've stopped supplementing their squad with a quality addition or two each season - maybe they'll have to sell the odd high profile player to help service debt repayments - I predict that it's only a matter of time before the rot sets in.
As soon as it does I foresee such a rapid fall from grace that it will make the Leeds U***d Fiasco of a few years ago seem mild in comparison.
Tick fuckin tock baby...yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Too right we can brag when win summat, but for now...well in the very near future, we can celebrate the demise of the scum.
Surely even the yanks celebrate the downfall of arch enemies Doom?

I understand and respect your points about enjoying City now and your comments about the rags mate but you have to understand that the majority of City fans have never known a time when City were the superior local team/club.
On top of too many years of disappointment, Younger city fans have been forced to suffer the heartache of the daily insults from rags. Is it so wrong for city fans to take any opportunity to fight back and plant the seed of fear into their arrogant heads?
Regarding their popularity, They are no longer oversubscribed by 10,000 fans for each game, they are having difficulty filling the swamp. These fans were their hardcore support, the ones that went.
Football fans are notoriously fickle, and as they fail, so will their bandwagon wither. It is pissing them off and they fear that it may well be us that takes their place. Even the possibility of a City rise frightens them. Is it wrong to help them along with their fears?

I heard it when Sven took over – The same season they won the CL and the League
I heard it when the Shiek took over – Just a Premiership and CL final for them that year.
I heard it last season when they sold their best player and we took one of their key players – 2nd and took it to the last day as well as taking 6 points off us and knocking us out of a semi final which represented the best chance of us ever winning a trophy in my life time.
One thing U***d have right now in their side which money cant buy is team spirit and knowing how to win trophies. I support a football team not a bank balance and as long we they are finishing way ahead of us and winning trophies every season they will continue to lord it over us.
