In the 70's City were as hated by the majority at Anfield as Utd. As a kid I had bus drivers, taxi drivers, policemen shouting abuse just because I was a City fan, even though I was just a kid. I've never seen such a horrible bunch of wankers.

They've been able to pat us on the head & channel all their hatred towards the rags since then. Now they've seen us as a threat again, all the hatred is returning. They are rags by another name, a mirror image. I love the fact that they're hating us again & I love the jealousy of all scousers, cockneys & of course rags. It's fantastic. Hope it gets much worse. Fuck the lot of 'em.

i remember that time well.. and it comes with the territory.

i dont particulary want to burst anyones bubble because everyone is enjoying themselves for fairly good reason. But it will only get worse for the others if and when we take points off them and sit pretty above them in the table.. even more so when we start winning things. That will come but meantime it would be kind of wise to hold back and just fine tune the killer comments that can be rolled out hopefully in due course. patience will pay off, besides we are not there yet, we just look like we are going to be.

Don't know why everyone here is getting so worked up.

Couple of seasons from now and they won't be our rivals - Madrid and Barcelona will be ;-o

Sentiments I echo. There seems to have been a curse put on City since 1976. Always so near and yet so far. I will only believe it when it happens. Sometimes I think you could put the Brazilian World Cup winning side all in City shirts and we still wouldn't win anything.
But then that's just maybe my advancing old age...

Good post and spot on - lets just wait till we´re dicking them all pretty regularly and until the pundits are saying we´re nailed on for Wembley when we get to the quarters/semis

I really love how bitter they are becoming..... lol

Just had an argument in work with a rag, the usual "they're only coming for the money" crap, and "players sign for United because they want to play for United they don't go there for the money....."
My response to him was along the lines of, "Soooo, players want to play for United because..... They're one of the biggest clubs in the world, win lots of trophies etc..... which means the club have more money than most other clubs..... so they can pay bigger wages etc etc......so players still only go to united for the money... or rather they used to!!!!"
his face just dropped with a remark along the lines of "Yeah, but you'll still win fuck all, just like you've done for the last 34 years" and he walked away defeated!!!!

Unreal!

I think clubs who spend over £30m per season should go off into their own league and compete directly against each other. I really think that a breakaway European League is a solution to all this bollocks.

At the end of any battle, the losing side always put up a token fight before they go into full retreat.
The jibes at us are just an odd flailing arm in an attempt to give them a bit of time and space before they accept their fate and run like fuck.

Deep down, the rags know that it is all over and they are on the way down. What must reeeeally piss them off is that it is City that are rising to replace them.

I like this quote the best;
"Good post. It wouldn't surprise me in the smallest if they spend £100-£150 million this summer,

They may win premierships and CL in the future but they'll never have the world wide respect or prestige that our dear club has."

As far as I've ever been aware, aside from those worldwide who 'support' them, everyone else fucking hates them.
