Robinho vs. DeJong

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Robinho vs. DeJong

Postby BobbyJ1956 » Mon Jun 28, 2010 10:33 pm

Brazil v. Netherlands coming up, what's going to happen between the two City players? Is Robinho going to skip past NDJ like he's not there or will Nigel clatter him and keep him quiet?

Nigel will most probably break him into tiny pieces.. just being honest.

Robby has all the talent in the world but he's a fooking pussy.

Nige will win all day long.

I predict there will be:

3x step overs
1x booking
1x strop
countless sideways passes
x1 comment about "performing on cold January night in Wigan"

accumulating in 2x underwhelming performances

If Nige can get in early, before his first booking, robbie's in a world of pain. If he's sensible and hides on the wing for 15 minutes, he can take the piss out of de jong and then hope he geta move before having to face him in pre-season training.

From what i've seen of the dutch defence and the gaps Slovakia found, an easy win for Brazil

Personally I don't think Nigel will even get close to Robinho. I would worry more about the Dutch attack getting mashed by the Brazilian defence which so far looks in a different league to anyone elses. Oh and Robinho in a Brazilian shirt is one committed little fucker. And a committed Robinho is a treat to watch. Nigel will be chasing shadows most of the game.

Nige will win, that is if Robbie even tries to go inside. The Chile attack may be aggressive but Brazil clearly didn't go up against a great attack as illustrated by Chile's goal scoring record. Netherlands will win 2-1 in extra time.

I think that's about the most realistic scenario. Robinho, when he's up for it, is world class player. Especially in a competition where tackling is prohibited. De Jong will be at least minute late all the time.

Generally, worst possible opposition for Dutch. This Brazil team can attack AND defend. Dutch central defence on the other game is fragile like fuck. I think Dutch might be up for some bad punishment.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

You say the dutch defense is fragile as fuck - but when did they last lose a game? 15.. 20 games ago ? So obviously they are doing something right. I think a lot of people have overlooked the holland team as the dark horses of this world cup

Also, why do all the papers reckon we're selling de jong ?

De Jong will have the little shit in his back pocket i reckon. One clatter and the pussy will stear well clear of him for the rest of the match.

I hope De Jong knows he has our permission to give him a right good kicking - just don't leave too many bruises

I like the Dutch...

Part of me wants Nigel to cripple him

Part of him would kinda like him back at Eastlands

Most of me wants him to come through the WC with some kind of value again so we can just cut our losses and ditch the little (alleged) rapist

The ones on here who want one of our players to do damage to another one of our players(no any player) should be ashamed of yourselves.

The Brazilians will beat the Netherlands.
They have this attacking and defending thing down to a tee.

As it goes Nigel will be lucky to last 90 minutes.
