Venue: Ellis Park, Johannesburg
Date: Monday, 28 June 2010
Kick-off: 19:30[/center]

TEAM NEWS

Brazil star Kaka returns from a one-match ban, while Elano has recovered from an ankle injury.

Robinho will also be available after missing the draw with Portugal because of muscular pains.

Felipe Melo is doubtful with a sprained ankle, while Julio Baptista is nursing a knee problem.

Chile will be without three players due to suspension.

Midfielder Marco Estrada was sent off against Spain, while defenders Waldo Ponce and Gary Medel received yellow cards, their second cautions of the tournament.

However, Matias Fernandez and Carlos Carmona return after bans.

Coach Marcelo Bielsa must decide whether to play target-man Humberto Suazo, who looks short of match fitness, or keep faith with Jorge Valdivia.

One booking from ban: Fabiano, Juan, Melo, Ramires (Brazil); Suazo, Valdivia (Chile)

Maicon with a proper swan there, how he escaped a booking is baffling.

And Brazil score while I am writing, Juan!

Brazil just seem to have total confidence and able to turn it on whenever they feel.

Awesome stuff over the tournament.

That's 'cause they use their fullbacks to attack - none of that four central defenders stuff

I know a team who can't do that!

I think this is how Mancio wants us to play next season, only better ;-)

In the four games of shite that England served up, Ashley Cole was actually one of our most potent threats going forward. It may have had more to do with our dysfunctional midfield and our impotent forward line but if they had performed anything like then we too could have had two flying wing backs giving us some width and how we needed some width.

Man of the match according to ITV viewers.
I'd agree back to his City form.Playing more than alright and half the fans unable to take their Robbie hate glasses off and dissing a MOM performance

Robinho himself would certainly agree with you & the rest of the tv X Factor voters. I notice how, after his admittedly excellent finish, he completely ignored the bloke who'd just run 60 yards & beat 5 players to lay it on a plate for him & lapped up all the glory for himself. Think that says as much about him as any of his critics could.

I suppose it could be because Ramierez was playing in place of his mate Elano & hasn't joined the clique yet.

it was never an MOM performance. was a nice finish but its probably expected of a 32million player. there was the odd nice touch but kaka, gilberto, ramires and juan all played miles better.

In my opinion he wasn't either but thats not the point.
3rd post into the thread, seems you couldn't wait to get a dig in.
Did what was to be expected of a 32 mill player, just tell me though if somebody does whats expected of them whats the problem.
Whether its the X factor viewers (are they a lower class of humanity? by the earlier inferrence that would be impession given)or fans of football the fact is he won it and personally don't think he played as badly as it seems you would like me to believe.Dreadful, not really.

Dani Alves was in for Elano cause Elano was unfit. Ramires was in for Melo cause Melo was unfit and I think suspended. Unless Ramires actually shot Elano in the knee its unfair to say Robbie did that. Lots of players head straight for the crowd and adulation when they score its not like Robbies the only one and Im pretty sure Ramires didn't mind.

This kind of statement is as a sad and unjustified moan at a player whose pissed off the city faithful, but Robbie HAS being far superior to any of the other brazilian attackers in this worldcup. This kind of thing is the opposite to the blind faith many have in him. Yes he's shit for us, but put him in that canary yellow and Robbie is a class player.
