Root & Branch, Cuter etc: irritate much?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Root & Branch, Cuter etc: irritate much?

Postby Exiled » Mon Jun 28, 2010 1:24 am

Any of these or others irritate the hell out of you?

'Root & branch': always reminds me of old FA farts making a statement about how they will fix English football. Since then, it gets used periodically by media idiots and people who should just generally know better. Whoever says it needs a root and branch rammed up their arse. I'm sure it will now be used ad nauseum over the next couple of weeks.

Cute, Cuter: Thanks Stuart. The man with 100% commitment and brilliant left foot has tarnished his reputation with that term. Makes my skin crawl.

Any more terms used by the media, pundits etc that irritate you? :D

I heard 'the brooding menace that is Wayne Rooney' during the game yesterday. Twunt.

Course I know what you're fucking saying, you thick cunt. You are a fucking footballer, not a particle physicist. What's there not to understand?
