Thomas Muller

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Thomas Muller

Schweinsteiger was excellent, but this Muller fella was fantastic. He is 20. Anyone seen him before? I'd be trying to buy him for whatever it cost, he is going to be immense. Maybe not the new Mattheus, but the best player I have seen in this WC.

At the beginning of 2009 he was still kicking in Bayern's 2nd team in front of 10 000 people... then he was made Bayern's main striker and what a player he turned out to be. He has had an amazing year.

We should definitely go for this guy, he destroyed England at times and looks to have everything we need. I'd start at 20mill and just sign him up. Mancini won't like him though, he attacks.

The media have found a way to include our interest in him in the past.

Probably wasn't going to happen before and definitely not now.

Maybe we should buy everyone who has a half decent game?

he was terrible in champs league for bayern when i saw him. Much rather Ozil or schewenstiger, now theres two players who would make massive difference!

good shout. Pick twelve random games and buy best player on each one of them. Can't go wrong with that strategy.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

not as a fullback tho, right? you mean as a winger. I don't think he can play as a RB, can he? How about LB? what about both? i can't remember. Can he defend?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

cheers

This.
Watched him for Bayern in the champs. league and thought he was gash. Playing in more or less the same position for Germany he looks like a world beater. As for Ozil, If City paid 25Mil for him tomorrow, I'd think everyone on here would be fairly chuffed. When we sign Milner for the same price I think the reaction will be 50/50 for and against, with good reason.
So yeah, muller good, England bad.

Will say one thing about watching the WC, post watching your team get eliminated there is not much to
do but suss out players for City. Don't know about all this talk about City going for Donovan
but Mueller is a slam-dunk decision, lads. Few times I saw him last year, esp in the Euros, he was amazing.
