To be fair, one of the best central defenders I ever saw and has World Cup and European Championship winners medals for France.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I suppose he'd say. like players who don't end up playing for the domestic clubs they actually support, that he made the choice in order to win trophies.

It seems odd to say that with regards to national teams, but if the option's there...

Maybe when he moved to France with his parents and grew up there he got chosen by France first other than his birth nation.

Personally I think you should only be able to play for the country on your birth certificate

It's always easy to say for people who have no fucking clue what it's like. Surely he can feel pride in regards to his home nation AND the nation he grew the fuck up in? The extend of the bond is an individual thing anyway. Maybe it changed in the last 15 fuck years? And that's not taking into account the politics of professional football at all. Give me a fucking break.

So, let's say my 2 English parents were on holiday in.....Swaziland and my mother gave birth to me there. Should I only be able to represent Swaziland?

I always thought how brilliant it would've been to born in Liechenstein or Faroes or somewhere like that. I reckon I could've made it there.

I can't agree with that. It would seriously hinder the England cricket team & we would be forced to issue false birth certificates.

So the guys that are slagging desailly off I presume you all think Onouha is a twat aswell??? Cos it's blatantly obvious he only wants to play for Nigeria if he doesn't get a chance for England over the next few years
