Upson is remarkable in that he's probably the only CB slower than Carragher. It must be Dawson. If Upson plays I'll be even more worried than I am now.

Lampard has to go. Gerrard should get a free role. Joe Cole has to start but if he's struggling, needs to be taken off rather than sticking with it.

If we're going two up front it has to be Crouch with pigboy imo, pigboy off for DeFoe early unless he starts brilliantly. If we're going for 5 in midfield I still wouldn't play Lampard. I'd pick Carrick before him & let Barry go forward.

Either 1-1 or 4-1. I think Slovenia will fall to pieces if England go ahead late on.

Crouch mightn't be the best player in the world, but you can't argue with his International record. Defoe's is pretty good to, and at least they know each other's game well from playing together every week for Spurs. Rooney needs to be taken out of his comfort zone, so bench him.

I'd ring drastic changes. I'd show Rooney that his performance is not tolerated and neither is his attitude.

I don't disagree with your Team - but I don't think we'll see it on Wednesday. Lampard will play and one of SWP or Joe Cole will not.

Crouch must be one Goal in two or something. Often scored against lesser sides but who are Slovenia?

i don't know what team to put out but a few think no shrek or lampard, only problem is Capello hasn't got the balls to drop thoses 2

I don't particularly rate Carrick but lampard has to be dropped and there is no other option there.

Winning combination but won't happen. Lennon, Rooney and Lampard must be benched and I would'nt let Upson or Carrick anywhere near the starting lineup.

I'll mumble this quietly but if he's fully fit, I would go for Carrick with Barry in a 4-2-3-1 but allow Barry to go forward. In the circumstances of Carrick being crocked I'd go for this team above but if Lampard is still wank, I'd get Crouch on rapid & move Gerrard back. Not sure Capello will pick SWP but I'd give him a shot. Lennon is better coming on as a sub. If Milner has shaken off his mystery illness I'd consider him tho, especially if/when Crouch is involved; better crosser.
