Team news

However, Germany have a doubt over midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, who is suffering from a cold.

He is expected to make the starting line-up though, and is likely to partner Sami Khedira in the centre of the park.

Low will most likely keep faith with the side who so easily dispatched of Australia, and only Schweinsteiger's absence would force him into a change.

Serbia, meanwhile, have to make a switch after Alexsandar Lukovic was given his marching orders against Ghana - Neven Subotic is set to fill in.

Coach Antic could turn to Zdravko Kuzmanovic to come into midfield, despite conceding a needless penalty with a handball in the Black Stars clash.

Wolves midfielder Nenad Milijas may be dropped to the bench, while winger Zoran Tosic is in contention for a start.

I've been looking forward to this match strangely enough - I think I must have some German blood in my veins.

seems quite even so far, maybe Australia were just really poor, exacerbated by Cahills sending off.

Australia have regressed in the last four years and Pim has not done us any favours with some of his selections, lined up with 4 defenders and 6 midfielders against Germany, it was a formation just asking to get destroyed.

I fear the Socceroos coming home with zero points this time around and I think they can blame their ludicrously easy walk into the finals for that.

Referee wins another match, I swear they have about 12 points so far, easily enough to get the cunts in black through to the next round.

At least the aussies are back in with a shout if it stays like this.

Jonathan Pearce on BBC was saying early on it would be a miracle if it stayed 11 aside with this referee. Mick McCarthy going mad also about not being allowed to do an overhead kick after Germany hit the bar. The ref is having a shocker, it was dangerous play by the defender for sticking his head in if anything.
