Who do you want first game of the season?

Blackpool at Home. Get off to a good start. Very colourful too.

DONT FORGET.... depending on whether we qualify for the latter stages of the EUROPA League, the matches on the following dates should be moved to a Sunday.

21st August, 28th August, 18th September, 2nd October, 23rd October, 6th November, and finally 4th & 18th December.

The dates in December could see us play EL games on a Wednesday night, so these games may not end up being moved.

I am just hoping for a nice City v Blackpool final day of the season, since we have been promoted we have only won 1 of 8 of our last day fixtures.

Surprisingly though, we have won 2 of the 4 games since then, away to West Ham and Blackburn and lost two to Chelsea and Aston Villa, the last home game opening round we had, we drew 0-0 with the Baggies. Fuck I hate them, they are utter shit and still take points off us like water.

Blackpool away is on Saturday October 16th. Not too late into autumn and at least it's not a midweek game.

But Spurs away, then Liverpool home. We'd better hit the ground running then.

We'd better get a minimum of 4 points from them otherwise everyone will be calling for Mancinis head.

Christmas period

26 Newcastle (A)
28 Aston Villa (H)
January
1 Blackpool (H)
4 Arsenal (A)

Could be worse, at least we won't lose players to African Nations.

I think that's a tough schedule ... there isn't really clear run of games against poor teams. If we play to our potential, I would say we have to go undefeated in the month of december. The games are all winnable and we are going to need that momentum for the second half of the season.

edit: actually looking again this run is quite nice and I'd like for us to take maximum points

13 Birmingham (H)
20 Fulham (A)
27 Stoke (A)
December
4 Bolton (H)
11 West Ham (A)
18 Everton (H)
26 Newcastle (A)
28 Aston Villa (H)
January
1 Blackpool (H)

Why does it seem like we're always away on both the first game of the season and the last? Horrible start but not a bad run-in for a change

West Brom's April.
2 Liverpool (H)
9 Sunderland (A)
16 Chelsea (H)
23 Tottenham (A)
30 Aston Villa (H)

There's a nasty piece of work.
