If we are short ill play as i can make all the games anyway, but wonderwall did a great job in net and if you all want a permanent keeper next week ill take monday off. But thats if wonderwall wants to go in net he might want to play out too so just have to see closer to the time.

Same, im pretty much happy to be ninth man each week. I only live five mins away so wouldn't need much notice if your one down! I also need to build up my fitness a lot and have a few more kickabouts to try and get my touch back!
Really thought I was fitter than I was too so need to go for a few more runs. Towards the end I got the ball and my legs just felt like jelly. My whole body aches today! Looked like id shat myself walking to work this morning.

jerome and Si, you wont get fit by sitting out. As long as someone is willing to share the keepers job then I will sit this out.

Next time, someone else can and we can rotate it. Who wants to be Keeper?

It's gonna bit shit if bobs not in net. Unless we have someone as good as him a keeping and communicating.

We need to confirm what we want to do as a team. Is this just a laugh or do we want to win at all costs?

I'm guessing the former? It's just very tantalising to go for the winning option because of how good it felt when it all clicked the other night.

Why dont you just find a real full time keeper?

Or do alternate WEEKS,rather than just turn up and say will you play in net.

congratulations fellas - great result, sorry I didn'r reply re requests to go in net, but I'm off work and not been online and didn't even play for my work side on Monday.

Onwards and upwards!!

And Mark - in terms of tactics, I'm not the type of guy to say 'I told you so' (but I told you so!)

MarkMak, We joined a league to win games. Yes it's about enjoying it, but that won't happen if we get leathered every week. Keeper is an important position, possibly the most important and Bob did such a fine job it would seem silly to fart about swapping and changing mid game.
I think we all got more pleasure out of this week's effort rather than the previous one. If we just want to fart about, then we can have a kickabout, but once in a League it suggests an element of seriousness.

I agree with u piccs, if the rest of the team do then it's up to bob whether he is happy in net.

Also we need to confirm a solid 8 that if available they play. Is it the 8 that we started with? Or if we r trying to win are we going to axe people in favour of better players?

Guys I am happy to play in goal, I think we need Andie's inut here as she has done all the legwork in setting it all up and after all she is the gaffer.

I think we need a squad and if you cannot make it one week and drop out, then you have to wait for that place to come available again as we cant be arsing people around.

So we need confirmation of availability for this week

You should stick to your regulars your a team not a bunch of mercenaries. Plus one day said amazing might fuck off then your left with egg on your face and look a dick for dropping a regular.

spot on Lahad

I think we have enough quality in the pool to win most games and enjoy ourselves. I however am perfectly happy to drop out from time to time and give someone else a chance to play. I will still come down and watch the game as you will still need a loudmouth gobshite.

Swings and roundabouts, we need to keep a squad of regulars (maybe 10/11 people) who are willing to play on mondays and if someone wants to jack it in, then we open up that spot for someone to join the squad? the 8 who play on a monday will have to be a week to week selection.

Guys,A quick note if you dont have enough players for a team which might happen if City play on Monday UNLESS you find replacements to play you get beat 10-0 by default.

If you cancel 48 hours before you dont pay but still get beat 10-0,so if you want to win the league you cant afford many 10-0 spankings.

think the problem is we've got to many to give everyone a regular game, rather than not having enough.

the team we are playing have had two 10-0 wins by default! They drew with hillocks hammers who beat us last week though.
