That was a brilliant bit of footage! It was just like watching a normal fan react to a goal!HeyMark wrote:Desailly was good earlier, I quite like him as a pundit.
The clip of him after ghana scored was funny too

who's horrific is Lalas. Klinsmann was ok today. it was interesting to hear him talk about the German team's performance. He added these twinges of Ubermensch to his commentary on their performance -- like when discussing Klose's miss early on he talked about how he "wasn't ready mentally and was weak" or something to that effect which made me piss myself.

If you've listened to any of the radio commentary this weekend on EPSN radio was fucking baffling...like literally your average NBA/NFL fan radio jock talking about "soccer" was fucking painful. Yesterday i caught about 15 minutes of "why Americans don't like soccer" bullshit. And "are we really ready to get excited for the American team or is this just hot air?" shit like that and it was so irritating i couldn't even turn it off. I got all Angry Antti about it.
cheers

Fucking hell. I still remember one time, must've been some time in late-80's, when the usual pundit for English 1st division games had got sick suddenly and all they could find was some Ice Hockey specialist to do the commentary. There were some proper classics during that 90 minutes. "Manchester U***d, the Montreal Canadiens of football".

He was probably just having a snipe at the 'Montreal Canadians'.
