I agree with you about Corden, I cringe with embarrassment whenever I see him, total wanker.

As for the ITV guys, well at least they actually like football, unlike Messrs Hansen and Lawrenson!

That was a brilliant bit of footage! It was just like watching a normal fan react to a goal!

The best punditry is often chatting to yourm ates in the pub as you can say what you want, with the odd swearword too. The format is so dated and the constraints so big that making punditry on tv actually interesting is difficult as the members of the panel are pretty much restricted on saying anything controversial - ie, Im sure more than one pundit is dying to point out that Lucash Neill is a useless, money grabbing, dirty tw@t but cant actually say it.

Tbh I quite like that tosser from the one show but that fat wanker that keeps appearing on every football related programme known to man; I don't get him at all. What the fuck is his act? What's he supposed to be? He doesn't do anything apart from get on my fucking tits. How do these people get jobs on TV? Thank Christ Davina McCall isn't into football..

Roberto Martinez of Wigan is an ESPN pundit here. He's not bad either.

Yeah but normal fans dont suppourt other teams because they have a better chance of winning. How many caps did Desailly get for Ghana again?

who's horrific is Lalas. Klinsmann was ok today. it was interesting to hear him talk about the German team's performance. He added these twinges of Ubermensch to his commentary on their performance -- like when discussing Klose's miss early on he talked about how he "wasn't ready mentally and was weak" or something to that effect which made me piss myself.

Lalas is complete shit tho. Martinez is pretty ok. Ruud is kinda shapeless, not much to offer for me. i'm finding the commentary on average to be really underwhelming. Their coverage team for Prem matches was really good. Should have stuck to that crew. Where's Keegan?

If you've listened to any of the radio commentary this weekend on EPSN radio was fucking baffling...like literally your average NBA/NFL fan radio jock talking about "soccer" was fucking painful. Yesterday i caught about 15 minutes of "why Americans don't like soccer" bullshit. And "are we really ready to get excited for the American team or is this just hot air?" shit like that and it was so irritating i couldn't even turn it off. I got all Angry Antti about it.

cheers

Fucking hell. I still remember one time, must've been some time in late-80's, when the usual pundit for English 1st division games had got sick suddenly and all they could find was some Ice Hockey specialist to do the commentary. There were some proper classics during that 90 minutes. "Manchester united, the Montreal Canadiens of football".
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Considering rags hadn't won the league in decades then, he probably was.
