So you would rather watch a 1-0 or 0-0 with Lahm operating as a 'conventional' fullback rather than getting forward and being heavily involved in creating/building chance after chance? The youngster leftback is staying back and helping cover while Lahm marauds.

you said that WE should sign him. He'd be eaten alive in Premier League. Not joking either.

Lahm sandwich

that's what someone like Martin O'Neil would think after studying few videos and would instruct long balls behind him for likes of Ashley Young to run to. Young would think it's christmas come early.

Mertesacker's had a good game - I thought Freidrich normally played as the right central defender? Maybe they wanted him on the left to help the youngster Badstuber out though.

well the Germans really ht the ground running.. great team play and good to watch. Feel for the Aussies the ref didn't help there.. it is going to take a lot to pick themselves up from that.. also without Cahill. They have to meet Ghana who look strong and attacking.. Serbia also are bette than they showed today.. Oz might end up lining the bottom of the draw.

Good match but Aussies really had no chance once Cahill was gone.

Well apparently capello does'nt know what a forward is supposed to do......... Heskeys job as a forward isn't to score goals...somthing about holding the ball up and giving it to Rooney.

Bolloks.

He must have something about him, he's a first pick German International and just got beaten in the Chamions League Final. I think he his the type of player that Mancio is looking for in order to play 2 DMs that can cover while the full-backs bomb forward.

Haha Exactly! But that's Englands problem Heskey is played out of position in England for the job he is supposed to do. As for Lahm he didn't have a bad game. No goals conceded whatever the excuses that's a good result for him and the team.

And you seem to have no idea what a left and right sided midfielder is supposed to do (hint: cover the full back if he goes forward).
If Lahm really "had no idea how to defend" do you really think he would play in the starting 11 of one of the best club teams in the world (Bayern) and also in the German National Team?

You're talking bollocks mate, sorry.
