HA! Thats my brother, I dont think he was too happy about being in net.

Poor git, especially when he thought he's be up front! I thought you had plenty of keepers, where's Fu?

SOF cant play as she has commitments with City ladies, BUT she may be able to play next if her coach gives her permission, highly unlikely though!?

Shame, especially has she's gone to so much trouble.

I dont think its that sven & beefy, i asked if she was playing and she said the powerleague wont allow ladies!

can't believe there isn't a "SoF Out" thread yet. Has she lost the plot?

Any links to her post match commentary of "ehhmm....we were good value for money on the day, etc. And ehhhh sometimes these things just happen and it wasn't your day, blah blah blah"?

Buck up and support the gaffer lads. She believes in you...

;)

cheers

p.s. Lee Kinda and Bob are quite a pair of brick shithouses. Men's men. Mark looks like he falls over a lot.

As far as i am aware women are not allowed to play in the power league only in there own league. I may ask though.

I had an image of a cartoon Slim making this comment to himself. Funny. Very funny.

What's the issue here lads? Is 12 goals let in too many and are there defensive issues as a result, or is 5 goals nowhere near enough and Markmak needs to focus less on taking the piss and more on supporting his team mates?

I'm surprised Carl and ZuricCity hasn't ripped into you lot demanding you all be gotten rid of.

If its any consolation my work team got taught a lesson in our 9pm game!

Yeah nice to meet you mate. What score did your game end up!?
lost by about seven or eight. Was one of those games where we couldn't string two passes together, bit like your second half!

Anyway, memo to self, stop taking the piss out of Ashton...... I wouldn't fancy my chances.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Its five a side ace.

They are always that high, the ball isnt allowed above the boards.

Didn't know that. In Sweden we only play 5 a side indoors, and then with handball goals (about two metres high). For recreational footy outdoors, we play seven a side.

if the ball isn't allowed above the boards, that means that my best part of my game isn't allowed either (I'm ace in the air).

Its to encourage play on the deck and to try and get fast paced flowing matches with plenty of goals.
I like the power league,it gets really intense at times.

Lol dazby to be fair I don't think everyone was happy with me stayin up front but IMO u need someone back all the time an someone up top all the time otherwise it just becomes too tight an no outlet going forward.

I will admit that I should of scored more than I did so sorry For that. I think I got 3 though?! Set up one.

Felt shit last night but on reflection I'm feelin really positive now, we just need to stick to a gameplan an be commited to the roles we are asked to play.

In powerleague you need three out of the five starting to be fit as a butchers dog.You need a BIG defender who is fast and strong,an athletic Midfielder and a quick striker who can finish.

The rest just fill in.

the biggest problem is when the opposition play a one two and someone doesn't track the runner.

If everyone has a man each and there is good communication to 'pass men on' then the goals stop leaking in. Give it 3 or 4 weeks of playing together and there is enough quality in the team to climb up the divisions.
