liverpool fans too extreme?

Postby halnone » Fri Jun 04, 2010 8:48 pm

Liverpool fans swarmed Anfield on Thursday in protest against the removal of manager Rafa Benitez and of the reckless ownership of two Americans, Tom Hicks and George Gillett. They started buring american flags. am i the only one that finds this offensive? i know plenty of american liverpool supporters and i think these cunts are way out of line.

Morons. Burning a countries flag over the firing of a football manager is totally over the top, and uncalled for but not unexpected. There's barely a braincell between that whole demonstration.
I must admit though i'm enjoying watching Liverpools demise. Cant wait to see Norwich United follow suit.

They have there right to speak out. Okay its not the best way but they are trying to prove a point. It's better than looking like a fucking canary to prove a point.

Burning a country's flag is 'better' than wearing a scarf? How do you work that one out?

Don't see why they have a problem with his sacking. IMO they have gone backwards and it couldn't have happend at a worse time with the emergence of City and Spuds. I agree with the protest over the owner situation but to cry over loosing Rafa...get a grip lads!!

These are the same bunch of morons who threatened to kill their captain when he was linked to a move to Chelsea right?

Enough said.

I just think they getting more media coverage than the fucking norwich loving canarys aren't they?? This is exactly what they want I dont agree with what they are doing far fucking from it. I wouldn't do it myself either but they got exactly what they wanted and that's everybody talking about them and the owners know it. So in other words they got the impact they were looking for even if they did have to go too far to get it.

Not really. I hadn't heard of this until coming here and, from their reactions, not many others had either.

You could excuse everything by saying it will raise publicity, even murder. It's not a valid reason. Burning a nation's flag is what terrorists do, it shouldn't be done just because you don't like the people in charge of a football club.

To be fair to the delusioned Dippers this protest was against the owners and was planned for days. The sacking of the waiter is only incidental in this. However burning the flag is ridiculous and, as someone said, rather iranian revolutionary.

Cant believe how many of them think Rafa was good though. Madness, absolute madness. Any other club he would've been hooked out 3 years ago.

But then of course did I mention the their history................................?
