Robinho / Benjani

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Robinho / Benjani

Postby ross.mcfc » Thu Jun 03, 2010 3:13 am

Tim Vickery BBC and World Soccer Magazines South American correspondent who I always enjoy listening to has just said on live radio that when Robinho was interviewed on tv for Brazils up and coming game against Zimbabwe he was asked about Benjani. He couldn’t actually remember who he was then when he was reminded he stated he had no idea he was from Zimbabwe.

Not sure if he was on the wind up or not but in the same interview he had no idea who the game was against either.

Apparently Dunga has said he is Robinho is extremely motivated to have a great world cup to attract big sides to make a bid for him.

Brazil won 3-0 with Robinho and Elano getting goal each.

Not gonna have much use for that city/brazil scarf soon.

The interviewer should have smiled broadly and had the cameraman raise a small flag, Robbie would have clicked straight away.
Tracking back is overrated.

This was the one that led to all those 'Trigger' jokes about Robson a couple of days ago.

To be honest I had no idea he was from Zimbabwe either.

I forgot he actually copied his celebration!
I actually loved Robinho, but this shit is wearing very thin now.
I appreciate that he was the first ‘big name’ signing and he took a massive risk in joining us, but I actually think if he got his head down and working hard he’d become a legend at City.
I think it's time we just moved him on now asap.
