I had this in a quiz and it stumped everybody. We didn't have google so see if you can do it without.
On the opening weekend of the first premier league season, there was only one match that had one or more foreigners on each side.
What was the fixture, and who were the foreigners?

Went through some of the line ups and Ipswich - Aston Villa seems to at least count. Ipswich had Craig Forrest (Canadian international) between sticks and Villa had Ray Houghton and Paul McGrath (Ireland).

There were one or two got it right. I wondered whether it was common knowledge or not. Now I know.
It was City v QPR. Apparently. Vonk and Stejskal.
