Much better in the second half when they sorted out what they were doing in midfield

Better 2nd half and decent debuts for our 2 young lads.
MoTM - Joe, followed closely by AJ and a nice bench warm for Shaun. Even Barry played better than the 3 Rag twats, and that's no lie!

How shit is Baines? He was absolutely awful, closely followed by Carrick and Walcott

Agree. Barrera was absolutely killing him down that right wing.

That's why Ashley Cole is a shoe in to be our LB throughout the tournament he is the best LB we have and probably one of the best in the world.

Baines, Walcott and Carrick shouldn't make the cut!
Absolutely dreadful, not England quality, no sir!

Walcott was decent tonight and Baines is always going to have little or no help with Gerrard in front of him.
Agree on Carrick though. Easiest role on the pitch and he fucks it up every time. Makes de Jong look dynamic.

mexico 66% possession and 24 shots on goal (triple englands)
I'd be worried.

possession isn't as much of an issue ... but when you look at the two together, shots on goal + possession. I mean, that many shots on goal is quite a lot.

The crap stats are 'artificially' swollen by their shite first half where we barely knew what we were doing - I would like to see the stats from the second half only because I think that is more indicative of how we can expect them to play.

it's true england improved in the 2nd half ... but a first half like that against spain, brazil, argentina any others big boys could spell big trouble. Spain played average/shitty against the USA in the confed cup and look where it got them.

How shit was Milner?? If we are serious about taking him. Him being shit in international games could swing in our favour.

Really? I thought he was extremely quiet and didn't do anything for the game considering his position.. Then again he couldn't have got worse than Carrick...
