£3.3mn for a leasehold, why is a house like that sold on a lease - anyone know the pro's vs con's?? (granted the lease is for 999 years)

Ground rent vs NO ground rent

If you want to carry out building work you have to ask permission from the leaseholder and they usually charge you for saying yes. Whereas freehold it`s yours.

There`s loads mate.

Its apperently now owned by a guy who owns a cab firm. (direct from Savills)
