Joe Hart

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Joe Hart

Postby kinsey » Wed May 12, 2010 5:52 am

I had an email yesterday from a Birmingham supporting colleague which I thought I would share with you:

"I went to our Awards Dinner last night where the fans' Player of The Season was................Manchester City's reserve team goalie!

In theory it was a black tie do but in amongst an array of lounge suits, brown shoes & unbuttoned shirts, Hart was the ONLY member of the playing and management staff to be dressed properly. He also gave a very polite and eloquent interview instead of mumbling cliches and looking at his feet like most footballers do!

The boy is a class act on and off the pitch.

It has been a privilege to have him at the Club and he'll be warmly welcomed back every time he steps near the place. His mother should be very proud!"

Obviously made an impression! By the way, did anyone hear that at the end of the Bolton v Brum game at the weekend, Yo was the last player to leave the pitch and was being cheered by all 4 sides of the ground as "England's number one!"?

He should be starting infront of James for England and he'll be starting infront of Given at the start of next season due to his injury so the future is very very bright for our Joe.

Did you guys see the bloke dressed up as Pamela Anderson running on the pitch on the last day of the season to give Joe a hug and a kiss?

Its Manchester City company policy to wear smart suits to formal functions... read into that what you will ;o)

I'm not sure I like him being called the reserve team goalie, but he did them (and us) proud.

Is it me or does he seem to be enjoying himself a little too much?

I hope so. But I can see him leave if he doesn't get the Number 1 shirt next season.

What a knob. Could that little shit be any more clear that doesn't want to come back.

On the other hand, was he not just saying that he would have liked to have signed for Birmingham to keep the door open for another loan? He has been ultra professional towards Birmingham, and no doubt will be towards us once he is back with us

Professional towards his hometown club, unprofessional towards us and has made enough snidy remarks about us during the season. Not happy about his approach, at all.

Quinny, it's the player of the season awards for Birmingham. He's just been voted by the people in the audience as their player of the season. Do you really think he's going to say "thanks, can't wait to get back to City. So long stinktown" No, he's going to be diplomatic and thankful. Then he's going to come back and do the same thing here. Hopefully.

HE hasn't been diplomatic and professional towards us during the season. I've made notes.

Still not happy.
