Loanees?

Postby Michael Brookes » Mon May 10, 2010 10:40 am

I recall a thread giving updates on our loanee players, but can't see/be bothered to search it.

I'm particularly interested in knowing how Boj, Robbie, Jo, Schofield and Vlad got on, if anyone can be helpfull enough to oblige?

Bojinov seemed alright in four five games I saw him. Seemed to still be lacking fitness but was battling well and scored couple of very decent goals.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

This was the thread that Lewis failed to keep up to date as promised. Can't see many of them getting a look-in, except maybe Vladi (and Joe Hart obviously).

It'll be interesting to see what Mancini does with them all. Will he call them all back to have a look at them in pre-season before deciding what to do? Could Jo's career yet be saved or will we accept 1m from some Spanish 2nd division team for him and cut our losses? I can imagine him wanting to keep Bojinov. Big Phil, Jo, Etuhu and Robbie will be on their way though I reckon.

I hope Bojinov stays, he seems like a 'Mancini' sort of player to me

Jo will not be back. He could not cut it at Everton when when they had all their injuries. £18m down the Swannee there. Talking of £18M RSC will be out of the door soon and Robbie won't be back so for £75M spent we might be lucky to get £30M in total.

Hart will be No1 next season though so that loan deal worked out well for everyone

Good job we're rich! The Jo money was Frank's (borrowed) so in effect was written off. The Robinho signing made a statement about the club - it could've been any star of about 6 on the day. Served his purpose.

As for RSC that was the sign of the owner backing a manager's judgement to the hilt. I was prepared to give RSC the benefit of the doubr in that he never played but had knocked in the odd one earlier in the season. But Sunday I thought he was dreadful.

Ah well we've got a new man to back to the hilt now.

So back in May that was not a bad set of predictions.

Jo has come back but he won't be staying or if he does he will only be on the periphary of the squad.
RSC will be out of the door in January which is 6 months too late in my view
Robhino never came back and we lost around £30M on him.
Hart is No1 although I did not expect Given to be dumped so ruthlessly.

Didn't we sell the Boj to Parma?

Went all the way back to say "I told you so" and only got 50% right.

Still, it's better than anything I've ever predicted.

He was wank mate. I think we were glad that he made it to Parma without losing a limb.
