He deserves credit for the pass to Jinky for the 2nd goal.

Yep, looked a bit like the Vieira of old, composed on the ball, broke up play, got stuck in and his passing was superb.
And if we do finish 4th then it would of been worth bringing him here for that pass alone. Well in Paddy lad.

He looked good with his tackling too - that's his best two performances in his last two games - there's a growing number of players throughout the team that I'm able to say similar things about right now, just when we need it.

My take on Vieira freshly copy and pasted from the match thread.
He was one of our best as far as im concerned. He put in a powerful performance, he won the ball well today and he passed the ball around very nicely.
We all know hes slow but his all around play made up for that today.
Unfortunatly on other days that has not been the case.

I have a feeling that after months of inactivity at Inter, a run of games in the first team was exactly what he needed to get himself fully fit again, and that's why he was so poor before, while he seems to be peaking just now.

When he first signed I was happy as I thought he would be good for us but his performances of late left me a little disappointed. Today was the kind of performance I was expecting to see in the other games but maybe only now he's adjusted himself back to the prem and is fully match fit?

He could be our most important player against Spurs: because of his vision and as an inspiration to the younger players around him.
But his serious lack of pace, and his penchant for reckless challenges could prove costly.
Lets hope its more a case of the former, than the latter

Definitely his best game for the club so far. Had the nous to step in and calm things down with a measured interception and pass when others may well have rushed things, as we are all too guilty of many times this season.
Hats off Paddy V. I'm happy to have my doubts recindered (sp?)

Mixamatenses but you catch my drift. Maybe he's just got back in tune to the prem and we needn't worry about him!

He did very well today and showed some of why Mancini brought him in.It was mostly about his experience and good passing and good back up when needed. There were still 1 or 2 times when players ran off him but that's going to happen as he just can't turn or react quickly but overall pretty good and no doubt at all his best so far. But I might just worry about for a while longer :)

was listening to the first half on 5 live and they were having a go at him. They were saying everything he does looks like its in slow motion. I thought he was good from what I saw on football first.

His best game in a City short today. problem is how he legs may hold out on weds.
Barry will return if fit I hope, Vieira to the bench though Im sure he'd love to stick one on Spurs for old times sake.

Not that any extra incentive is needed for wednesday but im sure Vieira will relish the opportunity of getting one over on Spuds again.Would prob like to see Barry back in as im not sure he will be able to perform like he did today again so soon after.
Altough i must say i think him being in the side has gradually had a positive effect as his experience and presence rubs off on the other players when playing alongside him.
