Any way, I always thought he'd stay in Spain. Seems one of those pussies, like Jose Antonio Reyes, who'd feel homesick immediately.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

To be fair though even I admit turning into a pussy since I stepped here.
Nothing wrong with not wanting to be away from Spain for that matter, some lifestyles cant be bought.

David Villa has moved to distance himself from recent rumours suggesting Valencia are close to agreeing a deal to sell him to Barcelona.
Spanish newspaper Marca ran an article recently stating that Los Che had verbally agreed to sell the striker to Barca for a reported €40million with Alexander Hleb and Bojan Krkic moving to the Mestalla in exchange.
The Spain international has been the subject of intense transfer speculation over the past few summers with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United linked with the 28-year-old in recent years.
Valencia have managed to resist the temptation of cashing in on their prized asset despite their precarious financial position but it appears likely that the former Zaragoza frontman will move on in the next few months.
However with the World Cup looming Villa is determined to concentrate on matters on the pitch.
"Now I am focused on my work and on the World Cup," he said.
"I do not desire to enter into controversies and rumours like last summer."

Yeah, but if the article has any truth, Valencia would be nuts to turn it down when you think Villa's value will prob half once he hits 29..

Please no, I heard on one of the podcasts I listen to that in one of the CL games against Inter (can't remember if it was the first or second) he covered less ground than the goalkeeper. He is massively overated.

You´re spot on there - loves his beach , paella and tortilla española too much - not the sharpest tool in the box(intellectually speaking) so learning English would be one step too many

Definitely, it would have been a disaster if he moved to the UK when he clearly didn't want to
