Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Before the Chelsea game today I stuck a fiver on Chelsea to win 3-0.
They started scoring and I thought I was on for it, but obviously it ended 7-0 so my bet went out the window. O well, its only a fiver!
I then checked my account tonight and there's 65 quid in there, WHAT?? HOW?? WHY??
I had only bloody cocked up the betting slip and put Chelsea to be 3-0 up at half time, which they were and I was quids in!
I've decided to concentrate less in future when putting bets on and it might happy more often!

Years ago I managed to put a bet on a game that had already been played - and still didn't win!

My Mrs always wins the Grand National 'by accident' after i spend all week studying the horses, the form, the ground etc. Does my head in but then again all monies won goes into my online account so she never gets her hands on it anyway.

If you bet on City to lose then you get something out of the result if they do.
I once had £5 on a 1-1 draw at Home to Reading and was stood on the Concourse in injury time to collect my winnings of over £40. Ireland then scored and made it 2-1.

That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.

few years back got cheque for £1,500 on xmas eve. Spread bet on booking in Chelsea v. Leeds , thought I 'bought' bookings at £50 - when in fact had bought at £500 per booking. Thank god dear old Frank Lebeouf got sent off and Dennis Wise booked...

I swaer I'm telling the truth....
I had a 20min nap as I was fucked yesterday, at that point the Chelsea game had just kicked off 0-0.
I woke up 20mins later an said to my ex, I had a dream Chelsea will win 7-0. Thought nothing of it. Gutted I didn't put a bet on.

one of my mates won £4100 a few weeks ago, he had 10 results, 1 game kicked off b4 he put his bet on, the game he had was a home win. chelsea v city and he had rangers to win and they did in the 93rd min, so he was very lucky that day, still waiting for my pint

Got told by a mate who gambles a fair bit never to go for 0 - 0 even if you're thinking that might be the result, always put down no goalscorer. Reason being if game ends 0 - 0 you win, also if the game is decided by own goals only it counts as no goalscorer so you still win. It's a very long shot but does happen. In fact a few days after hearing this advice I went and put a 0 - 0 scoreline down and as I walked out of the bookies I remembered the advice. Needless to say game finished 1 - 0 with an own goal! Fuck it!!!!

The first time I ever used the Tote at a racecourse - wanted to bet £20 quid to win on the favourite in a small field. Gave the woman the name of the horse but she said "We don't do names, only numbers" so I quickly looked down at the racecard and gave her a number next to my horse.
Later on I realised that I'd given her the draw number instead - which was the number of the rank outsider.
Came in at over 17-1
