Steve Bennett was scheduled to handle the game between Manchester neighbors City and United on Saturday. But he is stuck in Romania, where he was taking charge of a course for budding referees. He was unable to fly home Friday because of a ban on flights leaving and entering Britain.

That's the one. I was surprised they would let him work two derbies in one season, especially since the 1st one ended so controversially.

Good move for us IMO.

He may well feel compelled to balance things up in front of a home crowd.

And people say I'm paranoid!

Decent referee IMO and don't you know he let Chelsea beat them at home, whilst we beat Pompey!

Nope, that's not correct, mate. Check here, pages 23 and 28. http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/RulesandRegu ... n_0910.pdf

Doesnt it state that the 4th official is not "Liable" but is still responsible for adding time on for subs ect????

If the 4th official is supposed to do time on, then how come the ref wears two watches? Really needs to know when the Tokyo market opens?

the ref decides and indicates to the 4th official, who then puts it on the board. unless it's at the swamp, where the decision is baconface's to make. which is only fair. the cunt.
