Sorry in advance if this as been mentioned ( used the serch engine, but found no results )

Apparently we have nicked him of Chelsea, its an old story.Man City get access to Chelsea transfer plans through scout swoop

The Mirror says City are snatching top talent-spotter Gary Worthington from Chelsea to fill Brian Kidd's boots as their new star finder.

Veteran Kidd has moved up to become Roberto Mancini's right-hand man and he is behind the swoop for Worthington who will take his job as City's youth recruitment officer.

Kidd and Worthington worked together at Leeds United and the appointment - due to go through next week - shows that the old head has a big say within the corridors of power at Eastlands.

Landing Worthington is a major coup as he knows all of Chelsea's targets in the teenage market - and was involved in setting up several deals that have gone through in the past and could do in the future.

City have admitted they want to dominate that market and taking a key employee from a major rival will shake up that part of the transfer market even more.

It was mentioned quite a while ago. It was said that he's on 'gardening leave' atm due to his Chelsea contract.

Brian Kidd does not do his talking in the newspapers, as a kid I met him on numerous occasions at Junior Blues meetings and he was a top guy. If you get to carrington he will have a qucik chat with you, but expect Manchini to do all the talking for the first team

I did this one a few weeks ago but there was nobody interested in it ? I feel this is what people should be looking at as it has big affects on how we shape up for the future

Good call mate-plenty of debate about the Academy from people I know who are quite close to what goes on at Platt Lane.
