I just cant see him dropping Toure for Komps (however compelling the arguments), unless Toure still has that knee knock (may give him the excuse). Still feel a little nervous with Ireland in there like a poster above.

As for the rest we really dont have enough information on who's fit, who's been beaten up and who's back from Argentina etc. One of those games where there's a total info blackout from City, I bet even DH's reports will be shrouded in mystery this week.

You can bet your bottom dollar Liverpool will play 5 in midfield - so if we play 4 we are in danger of being outplayed, like the first 30 minutes of the home semi against SCUM. Therefore I can't see Ireland being this mysterious 'floater/man-in-the-hole', sorry. Tevez maybe as he can drop back and combat in midfield better. If Ireland has to play he will surely start deeper - in the Mancini style of things!

Of course we could pull a real flanker and move Toure forward into midfield..................................

Ireland can always drop back when the opposition have the ball, but he needs to be our creative player. I agree that he will pick Toure before Lescott or Kompany, but these teams are personal prefrences. Liverpools midfield will be similar in every department with Gerrard doing the role we want Ireland to do

What news of Tevez? We need to know that before picking a team. I'd expect Tevez will play.

If he does I'd go for him & Ade up front, Bellamy, Ireland, Barry & SWP midfield with Richards, Toure, Lescott, Bridge at the back.

I can't see Mancini going for that though so DeJong will almost certainly play (in place of Ireland or SWP) & he may go a step further by leaving both out & using Dejong + Zabba, which would be more in keeping with his recent thinking. I have an feeling he'll play Ireland in this game though but we'll see.

For me it would be Petrov instead of Craig and PV instead of Stevie cos I think that Mascherano c*nt will kick a the fuck out of anyone in midfield and that would be something Paddy could handle more than Stevie.Patrick seems to be able to pass well from the way it looks to me.
I'm hoping Gareth goes on a scoring streak now and gets a couple on Sunday.

Veiera is a cast iron certainty to be suspended, and Petrov would'nt be as effective as bellers on either wing, in fact he'd be better off looking for a new club, he's a bottler.
