I think you may have answered your own question there

anyway, this is a deserved ban, I know he's one of our own but it was spiteful and nasty and definitely a no go area - as cartman would say, you don't hit a guy in the balls man, thats not cool !

Oh, there's no doubt it's deserved.

Anyone else see the weird similarities with Stoke of this year and last?

Stoke player sent off, one of ours gets charged with violent conduct after the game.

I love you all and i am all for people having opinions but dont judge players so quickly!

But it does annoy me when i see some of you making a decision of one of our players so quickly.
I still think he will turn out to be a good signing.

Just stupid that he would do something like what he did and know that he was going to get a ban for it!

BBL your response belies your age. That is a great comment. Some of the 'sages' on this web site would do well to heed what you say.

I for one, think Vieira is and will be positive for City.

Genuine question.
During the CC Semi Final, Ferdinand and Rooney both assaulted City players without being seen by the referee. They were clearly shown on TV...I have heard nothing of either of these incidents since. Was anything done to them?

Vieira was stupid and he does not deserve to be defended on here by us. He is old enough and experienced eonough to understand it could be a sending off offence. It could have caused us to lose the game....absolute ill disciplined stupidity from a player who should know better.

He could be but if he's going to do that kind of stupid shite so early in his City career after all the games he's missed already, it suggests he suffers from C*nton* syndrome & he'll be lucky to get on the pitch.

To be fair we can't have any complaints about this, he deserves it.

One of our players was even assaulted by their fans. What has been done about that? Exactly what we knew would be done - zero.

As far as Vieira is concerned, I haven't seen the incident in question so I can't really comment. But there does appear to be a certain keenness within the FA at any opportunity to have a go at us.

Yea... last year they also went down to 10 men.... and scored.... only difference was this time we scraped a draw in the end.

I never want to see any of our players banned but in all honesty he kicked Whelan in the groin and that's a ban, can't really argue against that.

And I certainly won't lose sleep over him being forced out of a couple of games, maybe.... just maybe, this will force Mancini to stop playing 3 DMFs.

If that happens the script for the game is already written.

We will go 1:0 or even 2:0 ahead, Zabaleta will get sent off and we will draw or even lose.

Didn't that already happen 18 months ago?

Yes that's why I am saying this.

The worst part was even when were down to 10m we attacked them like we were 2:0 down or something and Robinho missed an absolute sitter to make it 3:1.

This time we haven't got Gelson to bring on and sit in at right back though. What on earth are we gonna do now??

Not overly arsed about losing him, more annoyed he's been brought here to show by example and lead the team and he's acted like a tool, so fuck him, bet he loses pay if found guilty (doh!) Isn't his wage -pay as you play related??????.
I'm in the 'this is another chance for Stevie camp'.

It was said on the news that Wiley spoke to him about the incident at the time.

Fuck knows what he said, because in my book, that means its been dealt with. If it wasnt, what the fuck were both the linesmen looking at, and why did they not pipe up.

He deserves a ban, but the rules is the rules, and if he was spoken to about it, that should be the end of it
