Next 3 games, what would you think of

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

How much of an ask would these be?

City 1 - 0 Liverpool
Stoke 0 - 0 City ( city win 1-0 in et )
Chelsea 1 - 1 City

Not happy with only a draw at Chelsea. We are capable of winning all three of those.

But if we won all three 1-0, there are some who would still be fuclin whining. "We needed to do more for our goal difference", etc etc etc.

I for one want to focus on our 5th Group game in the Champions League next season v Marseille. I think we should go at them hard in order to seal top spot in our group.

Let me know when you catch up.

I would be over the moon with a draw at Chelsea and a win at home against Liverpool.

And I don't care how we get past Stoke if we do get past them.

Stoke will clearly be 1-1, with City winning on pens.

As for the rest, we need to beat Liverpool, and anything at Chelski will be a bonus in the 'big picture', which should still see us 4th.

Things will look much better having got Everton/Hull/Stoke airforces and kickers out of the way.

Liverpool H Win
Cheski A Loss
Spuds H Win
Sunderland A Win
Fulham A Draw
Wigan H Win
Burnley A Win
Brum H Draw
Scum H Win
Arse A Loss
Villa H Win
W Ham A Win
Everton H Win

Another 29 points which should take us nicely to 74 and 4th place or 3rd.

To be bored shitless? No, you watch it for enjoyment.
If its like watchin paint dry why bother, so what you can say you won a few trophies, what good is it if you fell asleep watchin your team win them.

I watch it because I want to see the team I support win games (and no, I can't simply pick a team which wins on a regular basis and support them, otherwise I'd not be a Roma and City fan, lol). If they win with Style all the better. If they play with style and lose, I'm not happy just because they played well, if anything I'm even more pissed at having lost.

If I'm watching a neutral game, then in that case entertainment has the priority.

CFFR I agree with everything you said there, and Priesty, why would you fall asleep watching the team you support? Makes no sense!!! It may not be the most breathtaking football, but I still wouldnt fall asleep!

Unfortunately I don't think we are good enough to beat a good team that plays half decent IF we play the way we have been. That means we could beat Stoke , even if it's on pens , but we won't be good enough to beat Pool or Chelski.

That's if we carry on playing as poorly as in recent games. But I am sure we will get better and raise the game from now on.Beating the scousers would be such a massive lift.

Excellent results.
But as CityFanFromRome said, let's just concentrate on beating Liverpool first.

Question: Would people be happy with a draw considering our current game play?

Answer: yes.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

the thing that pisses me off is that we have the players to go and attack liverpool and possibly beat them quite comfortably. but we will set up defensive as fuck im betting.

Beating the Dippers is the key to our season right now. I think that because Mancini has set out to make us a more solid defensive unit, and we still haven't got that yet... that yes we need to beat them and play better, but i feel that stopping them scoring would be the real confidence boost and would set up the Stoke game with the team's belief starting to rise.

so for me i would accept another battling ugly game if we can keep a clean sheet. I think we will score so that would get the win.

Also i thought it was interesting that even Mancini himself after the Stoke game was moaning about us not attacking with enough force.. is that the sign that he will now try to do something about it?
