This would not be the worst news. Descent player but he is not 'amazing' and IMO a terrible captain, Kompany gave more leadership today when he came on that Toure did all season. Would be a good option to have at the club but not as captain and being dropped as captain can obviously be awkward.
Shame he does go so soon, but I don't think I would loose to much sleep.

I should add though don't believe everything you read in the papers. A few annoyed players quickly turns into a revolt when the media starts its spin writing.
Just like always we'll get bad press, all doom and gloom for a week or two and then a fews wins later it'll all be roses again.
The media are so fickle.

tbh i'd let him go after his recent performances.
Great news
He's useless
Wenger had long ago wanted to replace him because he'd never been the same after picking up a bug on African Nations Cup duty

Ok! So an established defender who was at arsenal and did a good job there for a good few years. And then he comes here and has some crap games and some good ones. Ok, He is a bit inconsistent at the moment but that will change. There are 4 squad players in our defensive line and not one! The defense is just not sharp enough at the moment or not coming together like a unit. Dont just criticise Kolo! He is a good defender and will come good. Yes our defense needs improving and Mancini will sort that but dont pick out single players criticising them.

its a fact about Wenger's opinion of him.
this whole thing about 'gelling as a unit' is just overdone.
The fact is, as it has been for the last 15 months, that our full backs have been left to go AWOL when it suits them, and our dead ball defending has been woeful

This story is based on a bullshit story from goal.com which claimed that Kolo instructed his Agent to get him a move to Barcelona. No quotes of course.
so now as every enemy circles our city
sour and sore, we swear war

Spot on, Kolo is lost at times but our full backs have to shoulder a lot of blame too. Too many times this season they have completely lost the plot.
If Mancini can come in and actually get the back four heading, clearing and tracking back right, we should hit top 4, no worries.

Probably fertilizer. Still, if they want to go, let them go. We can get better ones.

Lee,
Why would you want them to leave...it wasn't their fault they were shit..it was Hughes's.
You really gotta make your mind up in the blame game mate. You can't have it both ways. It was either the players who were shite or the manager who made them play shite.
Sorry if I'm posting a bit angry mate but the smugness and the arrogance on here is really pissing me off.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT
