Prepare for the backlash...it's going to be seige mentality again for awhile
The media are ridiculous...they slate Hughes during his entire tenure then when he gets sacked they are suddenly his best mate
Unbelievable

Whilst I agree with you, we will have brought some of the inevitable shit on ourselves this time.
To say we haven't handled it well is a big understatement.

It's already started, messages coming in saying we are 'Ridiculous'.
I'm staying away from football for the next 6 days!

I'm not defending City for this one. I'll no doubt agree with most of what is about to be slung in our direction by other fans and the press. I'm totally ashamed and as I wrote in another thread, feeling completely disillusioned right now.

To all the doubters about the way it was done, did you doubt our credentials when we wrestled Lescott from Everton? Did you celebrate when we gazumped Chelsea for Robinho and threatened to do the same with Berbatov from the Rags?

I doubt it will be mentioned that it was the Taksin regeme that hired Hughes, as I guess quite a few on here have forgotten.

It was the dying Thaksin regime that hired Hughes but in all order I think he had had a had of things. I'm speechless but Mancini don't seems the right one but I really really hope I'm of my head!!

Sky Sports News seem hell-bent on putting a negative stant on this whole thing.
I have emailed them a positive message backing the club's owners. I somehow doubt they will read it out...

Hypocrites the lot of them. Especially those dickheads on the Sky Soccer Saturday panel. Slagging us off all year saying how we have no chance of breaking the top 4 , now pontificating because our owners have done the right thing. Let's be honest the defence is a shambles and was not going to improve under Hughes. Shame Joe Hart has gone for the season as I would have him back yesterday.

Hughes wasn't slated that badly in the press, he is generally considered to be a good manager.

And we're off...
1937: A lot has happened today, here's a quick snapshot: Mark Hughes has been ridiculously sacked by Manchester City's embarrassing owners;

Obviously, as our former manager would say. I am not saying that Joe is the best on crosses but at least he'll try and grab a few instead of stuck to his line Given. Just my opinion but I feel Shay is over-rated by many City fans. We will see what the new manager thinks!
