What a load of crap imo! Wenger is a good manager but we can do better, need better and will do better than him! Arsenal will renew his contract soon enough too and i think Wenger would prefer a move to Juve to if they still need a manger and if Arsenal let him go.http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2 ... ark-hughesManchester City have decided that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is the man to replace Mark Hughes as manager at Eastlands, according to a report in The Daily Star.
Former Arsenal player Brian Marwood, believed to enjoy a close relationship with Wenger, was appointed as City's football adviser in March of this year.
Marwood has now apparently persuaded City owner Sheikh Mansour that Wenger is the man to turn the Mancunians into Champions League winners and Premier League champions.
The City hierarchy are reportedly not convinced that Hughes can achieve those aims.
Wenger is rumoured by The Star to be growing increasingly dissatisfied with the lack of funds available to him at the Emirates. Money, of course, is no object at Eastlands, though Wenger would expect complete control over transfer dealings.
The Frenchman's current Gunners contract expires at the end of next season.

It appears that he wouldnt shake on a deal!
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

Wenger is a sensational manager, dunno about doing better than him.
THis article tho, like 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the artices about City, is worthless rubbish.
I have some delusional compulsion to wade through most of them on mancitynewsnow, but treat them with the contempt they deserve. Don't even get sucked in mate, it's not worth believing and getting your hopes up or down.

Not a chance in hell would we ever be able to get Wenger in charge, he's badmouthed us ever since the takeover. "Bad for the game, too much money" etc etc. I think we will have Hughes 'till at LEAST the end of the season unless theres a catastrophe today.

I think he is allergic to spending money as well, even when they had money to spend his ego as the gem finder got in the way of putting together another title winning side.

Hughes 1/2 to be sacked, Mancini surprisingly at 11/8. Something may be happening.
