i think id start him against sunderland. he needs a couple of goals quickly to get his confidence sorted. if he isnt doing th business id haul him off at HT and give RSC a shot.
but we really need the ade from the 1st 4 or so games.

Well I hate when cunts say "discuss".... but I'd start him next game yes.
He looked up for the fight last night and that's what we need at the moment.

I agree. Will hopefully give Ade a kick up the arse he needs.

Adebayors' performances in recent matches have been discuss-ting and whilst I wish we had other options ( I don't see Benjani as one by the way) I would be tempted to let RSC start on Saturday
Could he play any worse?

Dont be stupid! Ade is a differant class to Roque and although Ade did not look the best last night, And Roque did battle for the ball and looked up for it, Ade will still be one of the first names on the team sheet imo and he will get back to his best soon.

Not if he feels his place in the team isn't going to be threatened even if he doesn't bother. This said, I'm not sure I'd start RSC on Saaturday, but it sure is worth a thought.

very true. competition is healthy. i'd sure start rsc on saturday if it was up to me. a fully fit and motivated ade might be better than santa, but an unfit and demotivated isn't.

They are very different types of striker and at his very best Ade is a better quality player. But he is not playing at his best in fact far far from it. I think therefore playing RSC should be a serious probability but I sadly think BBL may well be right that Ade is one of the first players on the teamsheet. It's that part of selection where I want to see Hughes be stronger. If you ain't fully fit and playing well give someone else in the squad the chance to show they can play.

I wouldn't start either of them on Saturday . I'd put Bellamy up front with Robinho.
I would start a midfield of Weiss, De Jong, Ireland and Barry wide left.
I would start Zabaletta/Onuoha, oh bugger, we don't have Dunne any more.. Oh well pick who ever you want
in defence. We're going to give goals away anyway.
What was it the manager said at the beginning of the season ? Two good players for each position. Time to take a look at the reserves .....

Why not have Tevez up front or has everybody forgot he can play the striker role and play Weiss on the wing?? So I think the choice should be Weiss or RSC and for me its Weiss any day of the week.

Time to let RSC have a run out for me. Ade is off to Africa at the end of the month and is is current self any great loss at the moment? With games against Sunderland, Stoke & Wolves it would seem to be a good opportunity to see if RSC is upto the task. He looked a hell of a lot hungrier than Ade in the short time that he was on the pitch on Weds - admittedly so did I watching it....
I think that we'll see the 'Hughes effect' on RSC as we have ben doing with Bellers. The concern with this is it seems to have the oppposite effect on the bigger name stars.
If we do see RSC, then we are going to have to play with width so expect Petrov and Weiss / SWP to start

Lol hope thats sarcastic mate. All the moaning at them too just remember when we had benjani up front by himself missing open nets and beating the world record for offsides. Or samaras, or the games where we'd stick caicedo up front away from home and just lump balls up to him knowing we would not score or come close all game.
