Some names for "Bosmans"

Postby eastlands-lostboy » Mon Dec 07, 2009 8:44 pm

Come on guys its time for a clear out again ! who is top of the shop then ? Bridge ? Petrov ? Benjani ? RSC ? Robhino ? I dont know you tell me ! oh I forgot Jo and Bonjinov, and Garrido the wages are piling up. Some of those are worth keeping but we need to shift a few before we go up another level to enhance the squad.

What? A player becomes a "Bosman" when his contract runs out. No contracts run out in January as far as I'm aware. Perhaps Garrido's and Petrov are up at the end of the season but the rest definitely aren't. What is your question? Is it: Who is surplus to requirements? Of that list I'd say Benjani and Garrido but they won't be going for free. The ones surplus to requirements are obviously the ones nowhere near the matchday 18. I also honestly don't believe that Khaldoon and the Sheik give a shit about the wage bill being a bit over the odds.

Don't they have to be over 26, too?

You tell us - you're the one living in Marc Bosman's neck of the woods! It hought it was 23 or so but you're probably right. The fact remains that clubs don't end to award contracts that expire mid-season.

It may be 23 actually, I think you're right. You had to be 26 to play abroad in Former Yugoslavia, and I think I got it confused from that.
