it still amazes me that we paid £19mill. CSKA must have been laughing their heads off.

That's libel and anyway we didn't pay anything like that for him. That was the headline figure but included massive add ons for all sorts of things. Best info we have is that the upfront payment was only about a third of that!

To be fair to him though, he isn't a target man, and with both City and Everton he's been played as one, and it clearly isn't for him.

I think if he was paired up with a good targetman he could be decent, no world beater, but decent.

Funny how much we have progressed...I remember when he first signed and what high expectations we had for him...then when he left for Everton everyone said he would be scoring for fun...he started quite well for them if I remember then hahahaha

Yeah I also think he's on some contract where he has to play a certain amount of games for us in his initial contract before we have to pay up (not all of is but some of the initial fee) and thats why we was so happy to loan him out. So soon as his contract runs we will let him go. At a loss but not as much as 19 million.

On the bright side at least we ain't paying his wages..

Every time he touched the ball he gave away possession. I don't know if he plays like that every week but the Everton fans were groaning every time the ball went to him. I don't think they'll take up the offer of buying him at the end of the season.

He was awful and you could see the little confidence he had just drain away every time the crowd groaned at him.

Anyway, good old Moyes replaced him with Saha and Yakubu and all of a sudden Everton looked a different side and quickly got a couple of goals back to save a point and make it a great result for us.

Poor Jo ..... he almost ruined our season .... whilst he is at Everton.

IBH, I wouldn't worry about that supposedly libellous comment. I think he's got a bit too much on his plate to be coming after you.

The Everton fans don't want him. And we all know why.

Jo was terrible yest..Saha was excellent when he came on and nearly got a brace.Stunning overhead kick that would have been goal of the month if it went in.
I can see Jo being farmed out on loan again next season but not to Everton.Maybe he could go bck to Russia eh.

At that price we could have bought a decent British player- Bent or even Defoe - all pie in the sky and still a mystery why he was bought
