More important than the win itself...

We've already seen us beat Arsenal in the league and come back against united three times only to be robbed.... we've seen us win our first two away games and show how good we can be up front at home....

But the most important thing I took from yesterdy was that it was the FIRST time this seasonwhere Manchester City looked like a TEAM. From front to back and for the whole match, everyone was in tune. It was the right formation, the right system and the right mentality and although I love the fact that we bet who I consider to be the best in Europe at the minute, if we'd have drawn or even lost, what I saw yesterday was so much more important than the win itself.

I hope I'm not wrong - I don't think I am - but this new City has just landed.

I really really hope your right.Yesterday was absolutely fantastic but to me it was a little Typical City.
Next week if we beat Notlob then I think we will have landed but I'm just a bit scared that the lads will rest on their laurels abit.

Thats it! You fucking Jinxed it now! LOL nah your right mate 2 games on the trot now we have looked like a team and I hope we keep it up. I think its a confidence thing. I saw it fading a bit yesterday between 60-80 minutes but we hung on and did great.

We've played well in spells lots of times but that was definitely the first time we've put a really good 90 minutes together. The lads were so postive and battled away from first to last. The trick is maintaining that standard of pressure against everyone we play from now on.

Great Post that mate...... I'm with you all the way, but we have to beat bolton first, we have surrendered to them lot far too many times, we need to follow up these two great wins with a third...... only then will I firmly believe that the New City has landed!!!

Put it this way, if Hughes could manage to get that out of his players every week I would become a full time licker.

I'd imagine you would because it would more than likely mean we would win the treble.

The club has to work together as a unit or this will never work. You can't build a unit, you can only put the pieces together and work on becoming a unit. It takes time. Everyone is at fault when we lose and everyone deserves credit when we win.

What we have to try and stop doing is singling people out every fucking week. We are one entity, no matter who we may not like individually. When I say "unit" I mean the hierarchy, the management, the players and the fans.
Our SUPPORT was immense yesterday, just as it was on Wednesday and I defy anyone who tries to tell me this doesn't spread onto the pitch.

So mate, when you say you want "hughes" to do this every week, i think its a little misplaced because everyone has a part to play.

I wanted to add that some of the so called fans behaviour towards Wayne Bridge yesterday was disgraceful. There were many times in the game when he got the ball and pockets of fans were groaning and shouting abuse at him. At one point he had the ball and was looking to pass forwards but because it wasn't on came back and knocked it to the centre back, the audible moan was awful and im sure he heard it.

Would fans rather he pass it forward so we loose possession and then they break on us?? The likes of Chelsea are not the teams you want to surender possession to and i would much rather us keep possession than make rash passes just to appease some fans. There was a complete Muppet say behind me shouitng "go on Bridge fucking panic". Do these morons actually think this helps. And yes i know people pay their money to go and watch but why behave in a way that can only harm our chances of winning games by slagging players off??? That was the only down side of the day for me oh and being piss wet through and cold.......!!
