I think a few are very biased like Rooney above Torres but Messi deserved it and I think we all knew he was gonna get it this year over Ronaldo.

I'm glad Messi got it, would have loved for Xavi to come before Ronaldo but I guess it would have been asking too much. Three Barca players in the first four says a lot really about their quality especially in midfield, and if you think Eto'o was there till a few months ago and basically earned his fifth place there, it strenghtens the concept.

And his replacement is in seventh place, alternating in their starting line up with number 15 from the list ... Quite a team!

As far as I am aware 96 journalists from around the world chose their top five players and each player get a point each.

Also shows that despite spending £250 million we dont have a single player in that line up...not really expressive of our being the richest club in the world.

I have a feeling that if Adebyor was still playing for Arsenal he would have been in that lineup. Not that he would have played any better I think the fact that nearly all them players play in Europe has a Major factor in voting.
