Magpie midfielder Joey Barton will pay £65,000 in compensation to a former trainee who had a cigar stubbed out in his face.
Manchester City player Jamie Tandy made a civil claim for damages against Barton, who assaulted him at the club's Christmas party in 2004.

No police action was taken at the time, but Barton was hit with a £60,000 fine by his former club, and subsequently apologised for his actions.

Mr Tandy, 25, claimed he suffered "major pyschiatric deterioration" after the assault.

He had claimed £500,000.

That Tandy is a scrounging little cunt who was never good enough to make it at any level but non league, so has looked for excuses since the club dropped him. He's been selling his stories to the papers for the past few years. Same thing every time! "Since Joseph did that horrible thing to me I've been barely able to live. I've turned to drink, I've washed some windows, I'm playing non league now. All because of Joseph Barton!"
