Rejtings 'Ull

Given-6 He needs to communicate with his defenders. Bad kicking today. Looked not arsed for the occasion. Odd.
Micah-6 Strong and physical but went in and out of the game.
Lescott-8 His best performance for Gods own. Heading and challenging and a good passing game.
Toure-5 What's up. He's in an negative whirlepool.
Bridge-5 If football was to be played with a solitary foot he would be world class but unfortunatly it's allowed to be played with two foots.
Reminds me of a story that a cock can only be 12 inches long. If it's longer it's a foot;)
SWP-7 Want's well and didn't dribble too much. Vivid in a way.
De Jong-7 Did his job but nothing else.
Rob- 6 Nice touches but nothing spectalur.
Tevez- 5 Is he our new defender? He was playing much of the time on our on half.
Ade-6 He is trying to make ammense but he's too often a lazy one isn't he?
Ireland-5 Not the best I've seen from him. He's got class but to many wasted passes today.

Subs :
RSC-4 Maybe to short on to mark but he looked out of touch from the very beginning. Nice try for a beard though.
Bellers- ? Was he on or was he off?

Hughes-3 He is running out of steam isn't he. Looks greyer by the hour. Needs some colour.
Crowd: 4- Cheer, sing , be of your f*cking head.
Me-6 Recent domestic trouble means I'm not the force behind the Telly that I'm normaly is.

Bridge was good no idea why you only give him a 5?

Could have been a 6 but he needs to practice his right foot.

disagree with most of them, although agree given seemed to be a bit off today. Poor communication by him. Thought tevez and robbie both had a sparkle and linked up well. God knows why he took robbie off, only player we had that looked like breaking them down. Ireland was much improved as well.

Given - 5 Very little to do but made a mess of nigh on every back pass that came to him, be they on his left foot or his right. Hardly an off day but he didn't/couldn't do anything to have earned a higher rating.

Richards - 5 I'll be diplomatic. Letting the ball cross his body inside the six yard box was a suicide move. He also offers nothing in their half, and he seemed to be up there a lot. Some of his tackling/positioning was better today though.
Toure - 6 I think the penalty was soft. Not a lot else to report. Hopefully one of his forward runs ends up in a goal someday soon.
Lescott - 9 Man of the match for me. Brilliant goal line clearance, great tackling and aerially dominant against Altidore. Two games on the bounce where he's really impressed me, plus he was the most composed of the back four in playing the ball out of defence.
Bridge - 7 Did well considering the awkward shape of the team - Robinho in/Barry out means that there's effectively no cover out wide on the left. He is very one footed but he was good for me once again.

De Jong - 7 Possibly our most consistent player since he's come into the side.
Ireland - 6 Tackled well, was involved in some good team moves but there was little finality to anything from him or the rest of the midfield.
Robinho - 7 Clearly not up to ninety minutes but its a testament to him that he returns after 2 or 3 months out and looks the best of our attacking players. The stepovers and the ability to create something from nothing have been missed.
Tevez - 4 Awful in my opinion. Poor set pieces, little conviction when he had the ball and a dire first touch. He was great last week but doesn't deserve any more game time than Robinho on merit of that performance.
SWP - 7 Unlucky to hit the side netting after those six or seven passes in the first half (what a ball from Robinho). Did well I thought, and beat his man more often than we've seen lately. Poor corners on the whole though and arguably lucky with the goal.

Adebayor - 5 Little service, worked hard and got stamped on by Zayatte (who should've been sent).

Bellamy - Didn't make any kind of impact.
Santa Cruz - Absolutely awful whenever he was given the ball. Ruined that one counterattack towards the end by bringing the ball across the whole Hull defensive line and then passing directly to one of them. Not going to provide a score because 15 minutes isn't a lot of time to impress. If I did rate him though it wouldn't be pretty.

Agree with all of that except the Tevez rating. I thought he was one of our better players, insofar as he wanted the ball and always made himself available. The final ball wasn't always great but at least he had the desire. He played some delicious balls across the field to Richards which I imagine Zabaleta would have connected with a lot better.

Otherwise, exactly the same ratings I'd have given.

Given - 7 - Did nothing but pick a penelty out of the net. Nearly got it though.

Richards - 7 - Solid. Attacked with brains for a change. Rather than trying to link play i attack which he cant do he careered past SWP and took defenders with him.

Toure - 7 - Was never in trouble.

Lescott - 7 - Same as Toure

Bridge - 7 - Didnt get forward as much as he could have done, not troubled at the back.

De Jong - 6 - Showed his limitations. Felt like we had 10 men.

Ireland - 7 - Did all the work in midfield while De Jong hid in his own half. Did it well but with and able hand in there with him to use as an attacking base, he would have been able to produce more. Has horrible habit of laying the ball off when well positioned. Pisses me right off.

SWP - 7 - Scored, awful corners, some nice runs. Dont really know what to make of him at the moment.

Robinho - 7 - Showed what we've been missing.

Tevez - 5 - Flustrating.

Adebayor - 5 - Awful service and he got tired of it in the end. Who could blame him.

Santa - Garbage

The Guardian's stats would appear to bear out that view Eoin

Interesting actually

Carlos Tevez and Stephen Hunt both worked hard in different ways.

Some eyebrows may have been raised when the in-form Craig Bellamy, rather than Carlos Tevez, was the one to make way for the return of Robinho but Tevez was hugely influential in the final third, managing more passes than any other player in that area of the pitch including the assist for Shawn Wright-Phillips' opener. Stephen Hunt of Hull was equally active, though in a different way. The Ireland international made nine successful tackles, more than any other player.

Rejtings Ull. Top Dutch player straight from Ajax Academy. Mean left peg and fast as wind.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Well until he scored, SWP had me screaming at the telly. He loses the ball too much and his decision-making in the final third is probably the worst of the lot. But he scored again so he gets upped in marks.

However what he didn't do when in a good position, along with Tevez maybe, probably cost us the match.
