do we want liverpool out?
isn't it best that they stay in, and distracted from the premiership?
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

They'll drop down to Europa League, so they will still be playing matches but without the same amount of riches being involved. Win-win.

See no it swings both way don't it? If they stay in Europe they would probably be on a high and start playing well again if knocked out they might have more time to concentrate on league but be depressed about being knocked out. Also even knocked out don't they have a chance of going into final rounds of Europa League?

Some good points there Vhero.I cant imagine the likes of Torres and Gerrard bein happy bunnies playing the remainder of the season having no champs league football.Big names need attention at the highest level at all times.I bet it will demoralise them and maybe see Scouse1 freefall. It wouldnt surprise me if they end up 6th in the league at best.

I get the feeling they will kick in sooner or later. They are a champion team and even when they looked ill-equipped, they somehow manage to grind out results. Discounting them for 4th is easily the biggest mistake we could make this season with the exception of not replacing our manager of course.

Watching the Barca v Inter. The game gives light to the coaching of Jose and Guardiola, after watching the skill the movement, the precision of Barca, there is only one Special one, It is not Mouriniho. Barca have just made the Italian champions look like a second rate side. The gulf in class/Tactics and the ability to keep the ball with no Messi, Zlatan, Marquez. Footballing lesson yes Jose, can give you run and chase/KICK AND LATE TACKLES, Pep Guardiola gives fans a show of skill and entertainment. A masterclass in how the game should be played.

Well Gibbs bust his metatarsal last night so he's out for the Carling Q-F. Given that Clichy is also out that means Silvestre will be playing right back - if SWP cant whizz past him and we cant make headway down that side, then something will be amiss.

Now all we need is Chelsea to kick the living shit out of the remains of Arsenal's best players, Arshavin, Fabregas, Nasri etc to ensure Arsene doesn't play them on wednesday. Its been 28 years and counting since we won a Q-F so I figure we need all the help we can get.
